About Verbling.com Prices and Cost?
On Verbling.com, prices are set by the teacher and can range from $5 to $75 for an hour-long lesson. Discounts are available for buying packs of 5, 10, or 20 lessons with a teacher. Every student gets one free trial lesson, after which they’re $6 each. The majority of teachers charge around $20.00 to $30.00 per hour. However, some teachers charge less than $10.00 per hour, while others charge close to $100.00 per hour. It's important to note that prices depend on the language and the teacher's own rate. Verbling is a platform that allows teachers to set their prices, which can range widely based on the teacher's qualifications, experience, and the demand for the language being taught.

Verbling.com Return Policy?
Verbling.com has a refund policy but no shipping policy as it is an online platform for language learning. All purchases on Verbling are final. When classes are bought on Verbling, they are non-refundable to the original form of payment. However, purchased classes can be cancelled and refunded as Verbling credit. If a user does not wish to complete the remainder of the classes with a particular teacher, the classes may be cancelled for a 100% Verbling credit refund, which can then be used to book with a different teacher. Verbling credit expires after 6 months, but can be reactivated by reaching out to support@verbling.com with a reactivation request. Credits can be reactivated only once and will be valid for 6 months after the reactivation. Any activity in the credits will push the expiration of the credits out 6 months. Verbling is unable to reactivate credits if there has been more than a year after they expired. If a user feels they have been charged in error, they can contact Verbling at support@verbling.com with a detailed explanation. Refund requests must be received by Verbling within 30 days of the charge in order to be considered. In terms of cancellation, the lesson is considered cancelled if the cancellation action is processed and completed in the system. If a student's scheduled lesson is scheduled for less than 12 hours in the future, and they cancel it, they will be refunded credit worth 50% of the lesson's cost. If the scheduled lesson is scheduled for more than 12 hours in the future, the student will be refunded credit worth 100% of the lesson's cost. If a teacher cancels a lesson anytime, they forfeit pay for this lesson and the student will receive a 100% refund of the lesson’s cost in Verbling credits. If the student cancels the lesson in the system within 12 or fewer hours in advance, the teacher receives 50% of the payment.
Can I learn multiple languages on Verbling at once?
Yes, it is possible to learn multiple languages simultaneously on Verbling. The platform offers classes related to more than 60 languages, including popular ones like English, Spanish, French, German, Mandarin, and Italian, as well as less common ones. It's been shared that learning multiple languages at the same time can seem daunting, but it's simpler than people think. It requires dedication, time, and effort to gain fluency. Some learners have even found it beneficial to study each new language through a previously acquired one. This approach can help solidify understanding of the grammar and vocabulary of both languages. So, if you're considering studying multiple languages at once, have no fear! It's easier than you think and can actually be fun. Remember, the key to success in language learning is consistent practice and exposure. Happy learning!
What are the qualifications of Verbling teachers?
Verbling teachers are not required to have a degree, TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate, or formal teaching qualification. However, they must have verifiable teaching experience. The most important qualification is to be a native speaker of the language they wish to teach. This means the language they’re teaching in has to be the language they grew up with, not a foreign language they’ve learned later in life. Teachers can set their own hourly rates and cash out their earnings anytime. They can teach from home or any other convenient location of their choice. They can adjust their personal availability anytime on their calendar and teach in any capacity: full-time, part-time, or just occasionally. Verbling applies a 15% commission on teacher rates. This means that if a teacher sets their hourly rate at $20, they will receive $17 (85%). Teachers can cash out their earnings once a week. Verbling technology allows teachers to start classes on Google Chrome or Firefox on PC/Mac only; mobile devices are not supported for teachers; however, students may follow a lesson with the official Verbling Android/iOS app. At the scheduled time, teachers can easily start their lesson with the click of a button. Once their session is live, their student will be able to join and their lesson can begin. They must begin and end their lesson on time for it to be registered. If they miss, cancel or unschedule too many lessons due to inconsistent or inaccurate schedule, they may not be able to teach on Verbling in the future.
How does Verbling compare to other language learning platforms?
Verbling is an online platform that connects language students with teachers. It offers one-to-one sessions with native speakers in your target language. What sets it apart from competitors like italki is its user interface, which includes a chat feature and a video option built into the platform. There's also the option to make your flashcards and share files with your teacher.
Verbling, italki, and Preply are similar in many ways, but they do have some differences. italki has a wider range of teachers, which allows you to be pickier with your selection requirements. It’s usually cheaper than Preply and Verbling and offers many extra community features for free, which can help you get more out of your language learning experience.
Preply has lots of other subjects besides languages, and lesson packages can be transferred to change the teacher. Verbling and italki let you pay for one class at a time, which makes purchasing lessons more convenient than it is on Preply.
All three platforms offer flexibility, allowing you to book classes to a schedule that suits you. Italki offers the best value for money, has the biggest range of teachers to choose from, and has great free features. Preply has great teacher support, and its payment method allows you to have multiple teachers or transfer funds. Verbling is a solid option despite being a little more expensive and having fewer teachers to choose from.
These platforms exist to make it easier to find a tutor. They don’t offer a language course in the traditional sense, so they work best as a complementary resource to a structured course. The quality of the experience on these platforms largely depends on the teacher's style, which is why it's recommended to take a trial lesson before committing to a particular teacher.
In conclusion, Verbling is a great app with plenty of advantages. All you’ll need to do is get the right teacher for the right price and you’ll have a great experience with Verbling. However, it's always a good idea to try out alternatives like italki and Preply to see which platform suits your learning style and needs the best.
